Notice is hereby given that the Annual Town Meeting of the Parish of Ryde
will be held online via the Zoom Video Conferencing Platform
and Streamed Live on YouTube on Monday, 19 April 2021 at 6:00pm
This meeting is convened under the provision of Section 99,
schedule 12 of the Local Government Act, 1972 and is hosted by Ryde Town Council.
All residents of Ryde are welcome to attend and can do so by emailing
Jonathan.baker@rydetowncouncil.gov.uk by midday on Friday 16 April 2021.
A Zoom invite will then be sent in order to gain entry into the virtual room.

1. APOLOGIES
To receive any apologies for absence from councillors.
2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
To receive any declarations of pecuniary or non-pecuniary (personal) interests from
councillors relating to items on the agenda.
3. REQUESTS FOR DISPENSTAIONS
To receive and consider granting any written requests from councillors for
dispensations in respect of disclosable pecuniary interests relating to the agenda.
4. MINUTES TO THE PREVIOUS ANNUAL MEETING OF THE PARISH OF RYDE
TOWN
To approve the minutes of the previous meeting held on 22 May 2019 (PAPER A)
5. MAYORS ANNUAL REVIEW OF THE TOWN
To receive an annual report on the business of Ryde Town Council for the 2020-2021
council year from the Mayor, Cllr Michael Lilley (PAPER B)

NETWORK RYDE ANNUAL REPORT.
To receive an annual report on the activities and achievements of the Town Councils
Youth Service for the 2020-2021 council year from the Youth Work Manager, Becky
Swan.
7.
PRESENTATIONS ON COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
To receive a presentation lasting no longer than ten minutes on the following areas of
Community Partnership working achievements in the Town and any future plans.
Questions from members of the public will be taken after each presentation.
i. Ryde Community Hub - Covid 19 Response (Trevor Nicholas)
ii. High Street Heritage Action Zone (Sally Thompson)
iii. Gift to Nature and Greening Ryde (Graham Biss and Mike Fitt)

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS FROM RYDE TOWN COUNCIL
To receive a short presentation thanking all local organisations for their continued
contributions and support towards the health, well-being and economy of Ryde and its
residents during a difficult and challenging past 12 months.
9.
QUESTIONS FROM MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC
An opportunity for members of the public to raise any questions.
PLEASE NOTE - As this meeting is being held during the period of pre-election
ahead of the Isle of Wight Local Council Elections on 6 May 2021, there may
limitations as to what any elected and prospective elected councillor can say in case
they could be seen as being in breach of these regulations. Should any questions not
be able to be addressed at the meeting by councillors or officers, then a written
response can be provided after the meeting.
Should you require a copy of the agenda in a large print format please
contact the Town Council. Copies of all documentation associated
with this agenda will be made available on the Town Council’s website
and a number of paper copies of the agenda can be provided for the
public on request.
