MINUTES OF RYDE TOWN COUNCIL’S PLACE AND NEIGHBOURHOOD COMMITTEE HELD ON TUESDAY, 17 MAY 2022 AT 7.00PM IN RYDE METHODIST CHURCH,
Members Present: Cllr Simon Cooke (Chair), Cllr Michael Lilley, Cllr Karen Lucioni, Cllr Richard May, Cllr John McLagan, and Cllr Malcolm Ross.
Also in Attendance: Jon Baker (Committees Coordinator), Ian Boyd (Arc Consulting), Chris Turvey (Place and Neighbourhood Officer).

PUBLIC QUESTIONS
Regarding the website, the Committee Coordinator would investigate better identifying how agenda and papers pertaining to planning matters could be easier found for users.
No apologies had been received, but it was noted that Cllr Charles Chapman had contacted the Chair to request that his resignation from the committee be accepted, which it duly was. This therefore meant that there was a vacancy on the committee which would be addressed at the next meeting of Full Council. Cllr Chapman also advised that he would be willing to be utilised as a substitute as outlined in the revised Standing Orders, approved at Annual council on 9 May 2022.

The minutes to the previous meeting of the Planning, Regeneration and Environment Committee held on 26 April 2022 were reviewed.

The Town Council’s advisor on the Ryde Place Plan provided members with an overview of the current Place Plan, highlighting its purpose and key issues and advised members on ways forward.
It was then proposed by officers that to progress a review of the Ryde Place Plan, a Working Group (to be known as the Ryde Place Plan Working Group) would need to be established to Identify any areas and elements within the plan that would benefit from more extensive and targeted detail.
The formation of the Working Group was then proposed and seconded, and the following was:

Regarding its membership, it was suggested that the inclusion of the Community Development Officer be added. Membership would therefore be as follows:
