RYDE TOWN COUNCIL OFFICER REPORT

1. BACKGROUND INFORMATION

   Following the Strategy Day on 22 March 2023 there was consensus to look at scaling down the number of Working Groups. Over the course of the last year working groups had been poorly attended and were often inquorate. This resulted in meetings being cancelled and staff time being wasted. The Clerk has outlined the proposed new structure on page 3.

   
   

   Projects Task Force‌

   The Clerk has looked at amalgamating some of the working groups into a ‘Projects Task Force’. The task force would be made up of committed Officers, Councillors and interested members (by invitation of the WG). This will be a ‘hands on’ working group that meets regularly to ensure continued momentum with RTC projects.

   The Place Plan and Regen Working Group‌

   The Clerk proposes the membership be extended to include IWC Officers as many of the projects planned involve IWC controlled land.

That the structure outlined on page 3 be adopted.
