Members are summoned to attend a PLACE, NEIGHBOURHOOD AND PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING to be held on TUESDAY, 5 DECEMBER 2023 in the RYDE BAPTIST

CHURCH, GEORGE STREET CENTRE, RYDE commencing at 7.00PM for the purpose of transacting the business as set out within the agenda below.

    To note the decisions taken by the Isle of Wight Council’s Planning Department since 14 November 2023 (PAPER B).


  8. NATIONAL PLANNING FEES


    To note the increase in planning fees as reported from National Government.

  9. PLANNING ENFORCEMENT OPTIONS


    To consider a paper prepared by the Place, Neighbourhood and Planning officer concerning a proposal by the IW Council Planning Authority to charge Ryde Town Council for enforcement services (PAPER C).


  10. TOWN CENTRE BOUNDARY


    To consider a paper prepared by the planning officer regarding issues around the extent of the Ryde Town Centre Boundary as defined in the core strategy map (PAPER D).


  11. DELEGATED DECISIONS OVER THE CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR PERIOD


    To agree to the Chair and Vice Chair of the Committee along with the Place, Neighbourhood and Planning Officer and the Committees Co-ordinator to make any decisions on planning and licence applications over the Christmas and New Year period and until the next scheduled meeting of the committee. Any major applications received may need to be the subject of an extra-ordinary meeting of the committee before the next scheduled meeting.

To note that the next meeting will be held on Tuesday, 16 January 2024 at 7.00pm.
